Sycamore Takes Down Harrison at Holiday Hardwood Classic

Sycamore Aviators Cruise to 56-36 Win Over Harrison Wildcats

The Sycamore Aviators overcame an early deficit to defeat the Harrison Wildcats 56-36 in a dominant performance on Friday night. Despite trailing 10-7 at the end of the first quarter, Sycamore controlled the final three periods and secured the victory with a strong team effort.

Harrison started the game with defensive intensity, holding Sycamore to just seven points in the opening quarter and taking a 10-7 lead into the second. However, the Aviators quickly found their rhythm in the second, going on a 17-6 run to take a 24-16 lead into halftime. From that point on, Sycamore’s defense and fast-paced offense proved too much for the Wildcats.

The Aviators outscored Harrison 32-20 in the second half, with much of the damage done in the third quarter, where Sycamore extended their lead to 41-23. Harrison struggled to get much going offensively, as Sycamore’s defense forced multiple turnovers and contested shots.

The standout performer of the night was Sycamore’s Samuel Imade, who was named the Beacon Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Player of the Game for his all-around excellence. Imade dominated much of the second half, and was a force on the defensive end. His relentless play sparked a 9-0 run in the third that essentially put the game out of reach for Harrison.

Harrison’s leading scorer, Brady Lawhorn, kept his team in the game with 9 points, but the Wildcats couldn’t find enough scoring support to keep pace with the Aviators. Sycamore’s defense limited Harrison to just 36 points on the night, and the Wildcats were unable to find a consistent offensive rhythm after the first quarter.
